House Admist the Sun
Are urban homes inviting anymore?
Or the lost essence of a verandah be
embraced?
An attempt to introduce a warm and welcoming verandah to an apartment, through materials, textures and playful elements that celebrate the sun. Inviting nature through soft transitions and large openings was a priority throughout the house.

The clients happen to have an open terrace with an unfinished structural grid. We were asked to renovate their house interiors and some landscape ideas for this terrace. We felt a need to connect these two with an opportunity of a verandah space that is missing in this 5th floor apartment. This is where it begins.
