A Room or A Space ?
For this project, we were commissioned to renovate and expand upon an existing building. Based in Bhusawal, in an old neighbourhood characterized by shared walls and narrow streets, our primary challenge was to create open and inviting spaces. In an environment where open spaces are scarce, our attempt here was to begin with modest changes and let them organically evolve.

We lack open spaces around us, and our attempt is to start from smallest interventions and grow with it. ​It was important to carve open space volumes in an old city housing typology with common walls and narrow streets.
Through thoughtful spatial design and strategic placement of furniture and elements, we achieved a sense of continuity and fluidity throughout the living environment. Flexible layouts allowed for dynamic usage of space, adapting effortlessly to different activities and occasions.
